Interesting find Pleco.
Where is it from? I wish to redirect some vocal right wingers to it when I need to. |
Look again at that dot. That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever was, lived out their lives. The aggregate of our joy and suffering, thousands of confident religions, ideologies, and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilization, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every mother and father, hopeful child, inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every "superstar," every "supreme leader," every saint and sinner in the history of our species lived there – on a mote of dust suspended in a sunbeam. The last two graphs.
They were not from the same website? |

I don't think so - I found them using google image search on "socialism" (which fwiw will bring a ton of Obama/Godwin images and racist Obama images, so be forewarned because teh stupid it burns) because I had seen them before on other web sites. |

I'm not going to wade through all these posts, so maybe this has already been covered, but here I go.
I live in this evil socialist state called Ontario, a province of the larger commie dictatorship called Canada. Something you Americans are all talking about down there right now is health care, and let me tell you, you have it easy. Up here it's very difficult for me to pay for my own medical care, the government does it. I get sick, go to my doctor, she determines I need an operation, I get it done, and those bureaucratic bastards pay it without even sending me a bill, so I have no way of knowing how many of my tax dollars they are spending on me. They don't even intervene to determine if I actually need the procedure, they have the gall to leave that up to the medical professionals! Imagine that, they don't bother saving my money, nooooo, they just pay it on the doctor's say-so! The reason is obvious - they're too cheap to pay for actuaries and accountants and all the other people who would determine whether I deserve it or not, in fact they only spend a paltry 1% or so on their overhead. In America the health care companies take care of their employees by spending about 30% on their overhead, which no doubt keeps the economy alive instead of a bunch of malingerers.
The end result of this is that we are healthier right up to the point when we die, which takes longer up here than it does in America and therefore drags out the insult even more. Their policies of inexpensive and easily available health care coerces us into seeing doctors with minor problems before they get worse, which prevents them from really showcasing their skills. This complete lack of respect is just what you would expect from godless liberal swine!

Sounds awful, Rat. Maybe we can chip in and buy Doomar a (one way) bus ticket to the Great White North to save your ass from such a horrible fate. |

It was just a more cowardly version of the folks who scream lies and slanders to disrupt town hall meetings. But less effective.

Oh, I'd bet yout that Dumbmar has been to a townhall meeting or two recently. Probably shouted to much that his last functioning neuron suffered a little more hypoxic injury.

You know what's insidious about this socialist healthcare? I've seen studies that show Canadians and British live longer than Americans do. That means when all the Americans die off, the socialists will take control. At least let Americans with their health care systems live longer than people in socialist health care states do! /snark |
