I have no idea if this should go in the Politics or Humour section. For now, I put it in Humour. Just some ironic bumper stickers I found.

Well, as the banking crisis has shown, this bumpersticker isn't always true. I like what the guy says:
The business climate is not a good one for capitalists, but just like John Galt, you'll win in the end.

Has he put any thought into why the climate isn't so good for capitalists right now??

This one just flies in the face of reality. If it said "Republicans" instead of Democrats, it'd be more accurate.

(excerpt follows):
> I'm looking to teach these two bastards a lesson they'll never forget.
> Personal visit by mates of mine. No violence, just a wee little chat.
>
> **** has also committed more crimes than you can count with his
> incitement of hatred against a religion. That law came in about 2007
> much to ****'s ignorance. That is fact and his writing will become well
> know as well as him becoming a publicly known icon of hatred.
>
> Good luck with that fuckwit. And Reynold, fucking run, and don't stop.
> Disappear would be best as it was you who dared to attack me on my
> illness knowing nothing of the cause. You disgust me and you are top of
> the list boy. Again, no violence. Just regular reminders of who's there
> and visits to see you are behaving. Nothing scary in reality. But I'd
> still disappear if I was you.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

You surely don't mean that stuff was all irony, do you? Those slogans don't look deliberately ironic to me. Like Teabagger thinking, they're simply divorced from reality. At any rate, I wouldn't care to use slogans that are so subtly ironic that they would backfire, with most people taking them as advocating their literal meaning.

Agree. They look serious, if stupid, to me as well.

Sound bites and bumper stickers something conservatives are good. Something their base considers substantial and sound.

Entirely unrelated, but today I just saw a bumper sticker that said:

Honk if you believe the Riemann Hypothesis.

Sufficed to say, I want it.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.
