Why are you sorry? In these trying economic times, we need *something* to laugh at.

(And I say this as a Michigan resident)

The Detroit Lions finally won a game today to end a 19 game losing streak. In other news, Satan was seen purchasing ice skates at Sears, film at 11.

Isn't the Lions winning one of the signs of the coming apocalypse.

GO LIONS!

And yes I actually own a Matt Stafford Jersey!

Did he actually say that? Sounds too funny to have come from an ex-athlete.

Boomer is a guest on Boston's WEEI's The Dennis & Callahan show on Monday's. He said it yesterday. It was priceless.

Because I'm a life long Lions fan and Stafford is the best pick they have made since Barry Sanders.

The Lions are bad, but they are not the worst in the NFL this year. (You have to have very low expectations to be a Lions fan.)

Don't know about that, I would say Calvin Johnson was a better pick than Stafford.

Sorry Astro, Stafford isnt that great, CJ is a far better pick than Stafford. Stanton is the man and no one in league history has gotten more screwed than he.

Time will tell. Stafford is a little rough around the edges but he certainly has all the physical tools.

He needs to develop his touch a little but man what an arm. You have to love his attitude/enthusiasm. In that sense he reminds me a lot of Brett Favre (Not comparing him to Favre overall....just his love of playing the game).
