Exactly right, as usual.

Random Observations on Last Night's Massachusetts Knockdown:

1. Oh, grow a fucking pair already, whiny goddamn Democrats like Anthony Weiner or Barney Frank. You still belong to the majority party, the big majority party. You should be out there shredding Republicans, saying that they want to take us back to the policies of the Bush administration. Put that shit on repeat and use it. The biggest failure of the Democrats since the election of Barack Obama is that they have not made Republicans own the presidency of George W. Bush. It should become ingrained that "Republican=Bush." And the fact that it's not at this point means that idiots are running message for the Democrats. Americans are, for the most part, historical amnesiacs. They've already forgotten how our condition of being deeply fucked was a result of the very policies that Scott Brown ran on.

Exit Survey Of Massachusetts Voters Confirms Lack Of Enthusiasm Among Progressives Hurt Coakley:
An exit survey of Massachusetts voters confirms that "decreased turnout among constituencies that historically have voted for progressive candidates," combined with a strong Republican performance among independents, delivered Scott Brown the margins he needed to win...

But even despite the depressed progressive turnout in yesterday's election, a majority of voters (51%) still felt Obama and the Democrats are taking the country in the right direction.

"In an election between Scott Brown and the public option, the public option would have won."

Exit Poll: Only 38% Said Opposition To Obama Policies Drove Mass Vote (Republican poll results):
Bottom line: These exit numbers do paint an uncomfortable picture for Obama and Dems on health care. But if this exit poll is to be believed, it’s way too simplistic to paint last night’s results as a wholesale repudiation of Obama and his entire governing agenda.

Well, there is at least one bright side to this Democratic debacle; that super-douche Lieberman won't be able to hold the Senate hostage any more.

I wish he'd officially become the Republican that he really is. Currently, he's giving the rest of us Independents a bad name.

Let me just say this, the Democratic Party riding a wave of populist anger to DC was given a Super-Majority. The republicans were essentially neutralized.
They could pass any legislation. Rangel could have corrected the AMT. War funding could have stopped, they could have rewritten the tax code to a more progressive and equitable code.
and passed Healthcare reform

AND THEY BLEW IT!

Yes they did, didn't they? They -- & Obama -- was more interested in being friends --bipartisanship crap -- than rescuing the country from the bullshit conservative policies that has dragged it into dismal failure. They weren't willing or courageous enough to kick the obstructionist bastards aside and get on with business.

I hope the lesson has been learned. If not, fuck 'em all!

Wow! And how much more true did that become today and by another 5-4 vote. I think I'll sell my TV prior to the midterms.

My point is that this was NOT a referendum on ObamaCare, but rather a vote on specific candidates, i.e "against" Coakley.

The Right needs to simplify issues to bumper sticker statements and reduce arguments from thousands of shades of gray into neat black-and-white choices.

We will see come November. So far is Barack is 0-3. He campaigns in Virgina and they elect a repub. Governor. He campaigns in New Jersey and they elect a repub. Governor. He campaigns in Massachusetts and they elect a repub to fill Teddy's seat. Do you see a trend here?
