I can only imagine. I truly hope that the US will at least get started at getting up to world standards of universal health care sometime in my lifetime. Ironically, it may be that Medicare itself (which kicks in for me this year) that will keep me alive long enough to see that happen.

Thanks for making this sign. I hope you continue to "launch" it into Internet space, as you did here. Facebook? Maybe other websites - so it makes the rounds.

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

"TAX AND SPEND" IS GOOD! (TAX: Wealthy corporations who won't go poor even after taxes. SPEND: On public works programs, education, the environment, improvements.)

Mooner.....

I am surfing/angling (maybe trolling) for info today.

What is your opinion as to the real reasons that Health Care is stalled in Congress?

How much of the responsibility for failure lies with Pelosi? Reid? Obama? Obama's lieutenants? Vastly better Republican propagandizing than Democratic selling - thereby conning the public into opposing something everyone but the fattest of cats needs?

What, in your opinion, are the real reasons for Obama's apparanr failure to get this legislation done with simple majorities in both houses of Congress?

I would be very interested in any member's strong or weak opinion on this subject. Why can't we get health care reform?

I'm uncertain whether the Democratic leaders (both President Obama and the Demo leaders in Congress) are simply misguided and weak, or are whoring to the insurance lobby. But I am certain that only by holding their feet firmly to the fire can we finally get a good start on a national health care program.

This would mean defeating the minority rule of the filibuster through "reconciliation," and passing the strongest possible bill (including the public option) to which 51 senators can agree. (The numbers in the House are no problem.)

It would really help if Obama came out firmly for the public option and for reconciliation, and used his "bully pulpit" to rally the public. If he doesn't use his leadership skills soon, he will lose his leadership ability.
