Catholic Charities Cuts Off Health Insurance To Employees’ Spouses in DC
Rather than provide health care to gay and lesbian spouses, Catholic Charities cuts off spousal benefits.

The article.

Ted,"speechless"? Come on read the news. The Catholic Church allowed and still does, sick child molesting priests to go unpunished by civil authorities. They protected them, keeping their criminally sick behavior secret. Never giving any compassion or help to any victims. Not one victim was ever helped or protected when they learned of the crimes. They protect every last priest that raped a child but not one child victim. Thousands in the US, thousands in Ireland. Can anyone say that it was only going on in these two places around the world? Cutting off insurance is saving them money and their reasoning is hypocrisy to their doctrine. I was raised a Catholic as a child. As an adult I see the evil they do. Their actions speak what's in their hearts their actions expose their lies.Dropping insurance coverage, this is nothing. Tens of thousands in Africa contract aids yearly, tens of millions have it and their doctrine say don't use condoms. It's a sin the Pope preaches. Show me I'm wrong!
Many religions do evil but this church does concentrated evil. All under the guise of serving God and being His servants, bull droppings. Speechless? not me. What they do needs to be spoken and known. SS

I think what you said was correct, but it may be seen as an attack upon Ted, who probably agrees with you.

Thank you for the comment HalfMooner. I can see your point, now. An "attack" on Ted was not my intention but the furthest thing from my mind. Hopefully most will see that it was Religion in general and Catholicism specifically that I was addressing. I was more inspired (pissith at) than his "speechless" comment conveyed. I was trying to take it further because I agreed with him and more. Your reply drove home that like our military, I must always be aware of possible collateral damage from any action. Something we all could benefit from, right now mostly me. SS

Right. I did not myself think you were attacking Ted, only using his "speechless" comment as a starting point for your justifiable rant. Your true target was the Church, which deserves even more venom than you loaned it on credit. But one must be careful in a medium where the nuances of intonation are absent. I've learned as much -- and relearned it -- here.

Poor Ted must be whimpering...
