Canary Islands, March 16, 2010 (SNN) -- A yet-unnamed tropical disturbance today slowly and inconspicuously orbited in place over the warm waters of the eastern Atlantic, pending the transmission of confirmed targeting data from evangelist Pat Robertson.
Just waiting for the call.
Although carrying the potential of growing into gigantic killing phenomena and unleashing Hellfire upon sinners anywhere in the Western Hemisphere's "hurricane alley," such weather systems are fitted with failsafe mechanisms which prevent their destructive forces from being accidentally unleashed. As with the other weapons in his arsenal, a coded "smite" signal must first be sent by Pat Robertson to unleash deadly hurricanes.
Robertson transmitting the failsafe signal that released a Haitian tectonic plate in January.

| I'd like to see him struck by lightning. Not killed, but made to gibber wide-eyed for a few minutes, his smoking hair standing straight out. With the whole thing caught on tape. That's entertainment. |

Doesn't he do that every time he records his TV show?

A bit of trivia here. It was Ronnie James Dio, who was the lead singer and songwriter for Black Sabbath after Ozzie left, who came up with the devil horn hand gesture. Of course, all the metal heads picked it up, so you are just as likely to see the sign at a Metalica show. Dio said that he got the gesture from his grandmother. It was a sign to ward off evil, not to embrace it. He thought it looked cool...
A little edit. Seems that Dio mostly popularized the sign, and probably used it in a way that no other rocker had before him. Dio made it part of the act. Ozzy used a peace sign, by the way... |

The band Coven used it on all their record albums and on stage as far well going back to 1968. The Parliament-Funkadelic also used the "horns sign" regularly, as seen in many promo shots, album art work and concerts in the 1970s. |
