Satirical animated TV show "South Park" beeped out the words Prophet Muhammad and plastered its Wednesday episode with the word "CENSORED" after being issued a grim warning by a U.S. Muslim group. (bolding mine)

The article. I don't know if was the creators who were directly threatened or Comedy Central who made the call to censor this episode but some pussies got scared crawled under a rock. The word "pussies" is defined in this usage as little baby kittens, who when presented with any threat, either real or imagined, freak the fuck out and go into hiding. No doubt there will be a new prime directive to follow. That being "Kiss Muslims asses, at all costs and satirise nonviolent targets only "
There is nothing wrong with being pussies, as long as they remember what they are and don't think their a bigger cats, when they're not. SS

I'll have to watch the censored version of the episode. I watched the uncensored version last week. Usually Matt & Trey are being as big of dicks as they can possibly be when they react to these contoversies. (which I was I love those guys)

Damn, I missed it! They usually re-run on Thurdays though.
I can't wait to hear how Matt & Trey react.

It was Comedy Central that censored, according to the South Park people. That was what I got on my screen when I went to watch that episode (# 201) at South Park Studios site.

At this time, all I get is the following:

They say that but it seemed pretty intentional to me. The whole "I learned something today" speech part by Kyle, Santa and Jesus were all bleeped out entirely. Every time someone said "Muhammed" it was bleeped out, something 3 or 4 times in 1 sentence.... it seemed like a gag to me.

No word on reaction from Matt and Trey, but Jon Stewart had a segment on the controversy...

Thanks for your comment OFFC. In one word, NO. I don't feel they are pussies for not wanting to die but for how they responded to the threat on their life. Your and my opinions are welcome here. As compared to what anyone of us might experience from other forums that are out there. As our Robb knows all to well from his treatment on another, which he commented on.
I've had different experiences than you that affect my opinions and how we view the world and react to it. As soon as I saw this article I was pissed by what I read and I'm happy to explain why. I spent 6 years in the army and one year was in a combat zone. The south park creators, cowritters, and comedy central make a lot of money weekly satirizing any topic they choose. The freedom that they have and profit from comes at a cost. Very brave men and women in and out of the military who had as much to live for as any of them and probably were just afraid of death, sacrificed their safety and lives for that freedom of speech that they make a very nice living from. I feel who ever contributed or agreed to the response they choose spit on the graves and living people who suffer life long consequences from defending all the freedoms they benefit from.
They have the right to respond anyway the want but how they responded sent a devastating message. I too might have agreed to modify the second show but never ever the way they did. NO way. I deeply feel their response was wrong in execution and believe it will be celebrated by muslim thugs and terrorist everywhere. Putting those who would never publicly cower, as they "appeared" to have, in greater danger. You and others may not view it as cowering but I think the threatening thugs got what they wanted and consider this threat of death successful. Which is very damaging to rights of everyone, specifically to be free in thought and expression anywhere. SS

I agree with sailingsoul. To be clear, it was Comedy Central who wussed out, not the South Park creators.

The Islamist fanatics at RevolutionMuslim.com are openly and expressly terroristic in their goals, espousing the view that Muhammad "commanded" terrorism. Though they have been careful to skate close to but probably not over the line of free expression, their use of the photo of the slaughtered body of Dutch terrorist victim Van Gogh, and the publishing of the addresses of Comedy Central and South Park Studios is clearly intended to cause strike terror into their enemies (most of humanity, probably including most Muslims) and to possibly provoke actual violence.

Comedy Central wimped out. They will pay for their censorship by being increasingly pressured by Islamists and Christianists to censor even more.

This is where people must think carefully, then take a stand. Is it better to be alive than to have free expression? Arguably so, but those are not the real choices, are they?

These Islamic fundies can't kill us all, nor even a large percentage of us. In the US, they have very little terrorist clout in terms of actual violence. The real question is: Is it better to have free expression and be threatened, or to surrender our free expression and still be threatened? My belief is that if we back down and surrender our freedom of expression, we'll soon be living in a censored world, and in greater fear than ever.

There are no easy choices, no win-win strategy. I say we must stand firm to uphold Western values of freedom, and provide people who use those freedoms, including South Park Studios, Comedy Central (assuming that they ever grow a spine), and even the chickenshit freaks at RevolutionMuslim.com with full protection of the law for their rights to express themselves.

We simply must accept that we will feel the threat of violence. There are no choices open to us that don't include even greater threats. Retreating under threat only encourages bullies.

It's easy enough to strike back at the Mecca-groveling, fundie lunatics without spilling any but figurative blood. On May 20th, join this cartoonist in Everybody Draw Muhammad Day.

What the hell, why wait? Why not draw up the daft, old fool now?

Yeah, I know; it's a photo. But, you see, I have no artistic talent whatsoever, and besides, at this late date, I doubt if he looks even this good.

Up date! Man arrested for threatening creators of South Park.

JULY 21, 2010--The Virginia man who this year threatened the creators of "South Park" over an episode featuring the Prophet Muhammad dressed in a bear suit, was arrested today on federal charges after speaking openly to the FBI about his connection to a terror organization and his plans to travel overseas to fight with the group.

Wrong. he wasn't arrested for threatening the creators of South Park. He was arrested, but it wasn't for that.

Good. Maybe now Zachary Chesser is beginning to understand the actual limits of free speech. His conversation with the FBI makes me think he deserves jail just for dangerously massive stupidity alone.

Wrong. he wasn't arrested for threatening the creators of South Park. He was arrested, but it wasn't for that.

You are most definitely correct. A bit of wishful thinking on my part, produced a bit of misspeak. Good catch, thanks. As with everything the facts are always important. SS
