When I was young and naive I had an idea for a peaceful anarchy. As I got older I realized that human nature would never allow it.

Lets imagine that it could happen. What would be required for an idea like this to work? What would be the pros and cons of such system (or lack of system).

Only if God goes with Humans v2.0, the only way to pacify humanity as a whole would be genetic manipulation.

I'd need better definitions and probably better questions. Your question seems analogous to saying I want the impossible, show me how it's possible.

Some anarchists like Chomsky do not subscribe to the idea of anarchy, but rather anarchism, which only fights against illegitimate authority, not legitimate authority, whatever that means.

Does anarchy mean no organization at all? Then most of us would die quickly. Does it mean organization without force? What level of force? What kind of weapons are allowed, if we use force? Does social pressure equal force?

These are very open ended questions and you provided some great ones.

Does anarchy mean no organization at all?

It could but then would it be necessary to develop organization?

These seem like things that would have to naturally develop unless everyone had an unlimited amount of space and natural resources to care for themselves.

I think the best we can hope to do is try to limit the amount of force to something reasonable, and limit the amount of authority to legitimate authority. Defining those things is another matter, but I don't think it's hard to see that the Obama and his predecessors use too much force, and wield too much illegitimate authority.

I think that a massive population decrease would be needed for a peaceful anarchy to work.

Doubt it.....even then organizations would be formed.....followed by laws. There are "rules" even within individual households.

I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.
