We are being viciously attacked by the Orinthologists! Soon, they will be joined by the Mammogramers, and perhaps even the Ichthyologists, although they are usually on our side. Treacherous bastards, those Ichthyologists.

Unfortunately, his cladogram is wrong. Mammals should also be a subset of the reptiles, so the herpetologists should be demanding that all other amniotes be absorbed into their more inclusive field of tetrapod biology.

Gee. And I thought off of the various experts in whatever they are expert in were in complete agreement over placement.

Cladistics is a dirty game, though an extremely useful one, and someone (like just about everyone in biology) must play it...

I love science!!!

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

I once went to the herpetologist to have a dictator looked at. Fortunately it was just an ingrown hair.

Haole with heart, thats all I'll ever be. I'm not a part of the North Shore society. Stuck on the shoulder, that's where you'll find me. Digging for scraps with the kooks in line. -Offspring
