Man, this is depressing. Though he's sticking to his principles right until the end. Maybe I should have said "inspiring" instead of depressing?
Hopefully this is just a setback.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

Doesn't seem to have impacted his mind.
Just have to wait and see.

| Hopefully. I'm fully amazed at how busy he's been. He's a fighter... |

This man speaks for me and most of us hear, he is an inspiration. We should not dread his coming end, for we are all in line and it is the price of participation. I know I profoundly appreciate his contribution to our cause, it is great. His eloquence and clarity of thought will be sorely be missed by all kindred people whether they know of him or not. I must make the time to benefit from his books. "The cheap name for this lethal delusion is religion", I for one will miss his stiletto tongue. SS |

Been thinking about Hitchens lately given his poor state of health. NPR mentioned an article he wrote in 2007 called "Why Women Aren't Funny." I looked it up and it was typical Hitchens: hilarious, infuriating, often dead-on, and just a plain wonderful read. He's a real gem among writers. I love his body of work like I love Hunter S. Thompson's books. There just isn't anyone like him and never will be again. To those of us who don't know him personally, the tragedy of his passing will be that there will be nothing more of his to read. Of course I never agree with everything he says, and he's often pissed me off, but it is undeniable that the man will leave behind a treasure of works.
Here's that article I mentioned: http://www.vanityfair.com/culture/features/2007/01/hitchens200701 |

I surfed around a bit and found this xtian radio game show called "What If" in where the host tries and fails miserably to corner Hitchens. It may had been posted here before. It's worth another listening to. |
