Used fruit is a little gross.
The poor don't buy new stuff if they can avoid it.
It might save them tens of cents in taxes under this plan. |

There's been more analysis on Cain's 9-9-9 plan, and it doesn't look good:Under the 9-9-9 plan, everyone with income below $200,000 will pay a significantly higher share of federal taxes than they do right now, while everyone with income above $200,000 will contribute less overall to federal revenues. People making over $1 million would ultimately pay a 174 percent smaller share of federal taxes than they do now. |

| That's just... wrong. If my share of taxes dropped by 100%, I would pay no taxes. A reduction of over 100% would mean that the Feds would be paying me extra money every year. If my tax bill were $10,000 and I saw a reduction of 174%, then the IRS would owe me $7,400.
The -174.9 figure is the change in share, which is adjusted so that the total is 100.0, but an increase of 50 shares from (say) 2 shares (for the super-poor) is 2500%, not an increase of 50%. The table in that chart doesn't show how many shares the super-rich are paying now, but it has to be more than 174.9.
Really, it's the percentage change column they should have been highlighting. Those who make less than $10K will see a 19.5% increase in the taxes they pay, while those making over a million will see a 15% decrease in their taxes.
And the analysis also says that the 9-9-9 plan is equivalent to just implementing a national sales tax of 25.34%. |

Looking at the crap going on in the GOP camp and what Americans can expect of their future Presidential pick( a cult leader or a slow thinking cowboy or a 9-9-9 pizza boss.
One has to consider what Lewis Black said in Canada and to a room full of Canadians. Please invade us. Please take over our country.
It sounded like a very unusual request coming from an American. But in light of the recent events it might be Americas last great hope.
Canada's financial system was not affected by the US financial crash.
A Canadian leads NATO in the mission in Libya and has successfully taken out Muhammad Gaddafi.
Canada is the largest Oil supplier to the US. Canada beats the US in world ranking in math and science.5th and 8th compared to the US 25th and 20th. |

justintime, where is your legal evidence that only states can impose a sales tax? Where is the video of the alleged "legal pundits" on CNN concluding that Cain's plan is unconstitutional? |

I though the 10th amendment already addressed the issue. Today only states are collecting sales tax. To have the federal government also add on top of the sates sales tax another sales tax will require state approval. There is duplication on taxes as well as infringement of state powers.
This has already been demonstrated in the internet purchasing activity where states that export to other states do not levy a sales tax....the federal government sought to impost or change existing rules only to have to squashed by the supreme court. |

Nowhere does that document say, "except for sales taxes."Today only states are collecting sales tax. | Irrelevant. To have the federal government also add on top of the sates sales tax another sales tax will require state approval. | False. There is duplication on taxes as well as infringement of state powers. | Most people's money is already taxed a couple of times. Creating a new tax isn't an infringement of state powers because the Constitution specifically says that Congress has the power to tax. This has already been demonstrated in the internet purchasing activity where states that export to other states do not levy a sales tax....the federal government sought to impost or change existing rules only to have to squashed by the supreme court. | No, you've got that all wrong, too. The Constitution also gives Congress the power to regulate interstate commerce, and that includes the power to regulate interstate sales taxation. Since the rise of catalog and Internet shopping, many states have tried to get out-of-state businesses to collect their sales taxes for them, but the Feds have said "no" (unless the business has a brick-and-mortar presence in the other state) and the courts agreed. |

The bottom line as I have stated is this will not happen and Herman Cain will not have his way because the solution is not even close to what the problem is.

It's like laying out all the legal reasons against counterfeiting when the real reason you can't personally print your own money is that all you've got is a purple crayon and orange construction paper. |

Herman Cain says:Herman Cain, the former business executive who has emerged as a front-runner in some polls, said he would build an electrified fence on the border with Mexico that could kill people who try to cross illegally...
Mr. Cain, speaking at a Tea Party-sponsored rally in Tennessee, made some of his most pointed remarks yet on the issue. He said he might use military troops “with real guns and real bullets” to stop intruders. Classy guy. Real Reaganesque. |

Herman Cain is leading in the Polls and matches up well against Obama. He is very charismatic and speaks his mind. He also does not believe in Evolution. Absolutely no monkeys in his genealogy.
Jon Huntsman on the other hand embraces evolution and is a monkey believer. He is last on the Polls. Some even say he ruined it for all the white candidates. Because people don't believe them when they say they are not monkey believers either, especially when their resemblance to Jon Huntsman is so striking. |
