I've sent him emails. No reply. So I doubt it it's the holidays. More likely he has lost his access or something like that. Hopefully he's okay.
Speaking of which, Filthy is okay. But I'm afraid his computer just isn't making it for this sort of thing. He told me he hardly even checks his email anymore. But he told me to say hi to everyone for him. So hi! |

Kil says that you have a major problem with your computer. I have a six year old HP Pavilon (Windows XP) that is in excellent operating condition. I have purchased a new system and I will be replacing it in a couple of weeks. It is a tower 16"x15"x7". I will ship it to you freight prepaid if you will send me your address.
Sorry, I already have given the monitor away, but you can get a good used CRT monitor for 50 bucks or less almost anywhere.
If you need a monitor, I'll find you a used one here and ship it also.

| Well if or when I disappear for months on end, you all can be sure I'm dead. Even without internet or a computer I can sill get to the library. I hope he didn't have a bad taxi ride or something. The only assurances we have is Kil's email was not returned undeliverable, indicating it's still active when it was sent. I believe Yahaoo email accounts go dead after six months of non-use. At which point sent emails get returned to sender as not deliverable, as far as I know. I've also got emails back because the box was full once or twice. Which is another matter. |

Ok, I'm worried. Can anyone PM me his real name and the name of the town in the Phillipines he was in? One of my co-workers is from there and visted there recently. If anything happened and if he was staying in the same area as her, mabye she could shed some light on this. |

When he first got to the islands he did a bit of posting on SFN about where he was living if I recall. Perhaps a little rereading could weed that info out iggy. |

Bingo!If he hasn't moved since this writing he lives down the street from "sonny"When I climbed the street to the water meters, I found that they were, except for a single meter, gone. "Sonny," ironically owner of the little bottled water purification plant to the wall of which the water meters had been attached, told me the meters had been stolen the previous night. At about 2 AM, Sonny had heard his dog barking, but, since most dogs here bark continuously anyway, had ignored it. In the morning, the meters (except one) were gone. The meters were of brass, valuable enough simply as scrap to encourage theft. Sonny told me I'd have to make out a police report if I wanted the water company to replace the meter.
So the next day I trudged up the hill on Kennon Road to make my police report at Camp 7's Philippine National Police station. As I walked into the lobby, I saw cameramen, police officers, reporters -- and three very nervous looking young men in their late teens, well-groomed and decently dressed. This last trio was sitting, chained together and holding up signs with their names, upon a wooden bench. Before the three was a table upon which was piled a bunch of water meters. I felt a big grin spreading across my face. |
So perhaps your co-worker, iggy, could put this to use along with the pictures. The police might have information about him or even sonny may know if he moved or whatever. I'll keep reading.
