Good to hear from you againHalfMooner. Like others here, we all were concerned.
I was wondering if you died and couldn't be bothered to tell anyone that you did! That would have been very rude but lots of people do that. |

I indeed did not die, wishful rumors to the contrary. But I should be up front with my decision that when I do die, I plan to leave everyone in the dark about it. I'm just that kind of ornery fellow. |

HM, glad to hear you are doing well and have survived the terrible typhoons and storm we've heard about. Thanks for stopping in. How are things shakin' these days? Have you found a local skeptic's den in the Philippines? |

Have you found a local skeptic's den in the Philippines? | Thanks for the welcome back, Randy! Aside from the inconvenience of the loss of power for days on end during storms, this last typhoon season caused me, personally, no problems.
Since I first came up missing at SFN, I've lost one girlfriend, won a fiancee, and lost my beloved old Chihuahua, Missy, to dog-meat traffickers.
One supertyphoon went directly over Baguio, and some dozen or so residents were killed when the city's garbage dump slid down the mountain to crush their homes. (Were I to be forced to pick the manner of my death, "death by garbage-slide" would be very low on my list.)
Another supertyphoon's southern bands were still battering Baguio while its northern bands were hitting Honshu, Japan. That's one huge storm, but the physical size of typhoons often distinguishes them from Atlantic hurricanes. The most deadly Philippine storms this season weren't even typhoons, but simple, enormous low pressure areas that struck Mindanao with deluges, wiping whole communities from hillsides.
I have not yet found a local Baguio skeptics group, but I do lurk at the Filipino Freethinkers site. The FFT meet in Manila, a bit far for me to travel for meetings. |

| Yeah! He's one of the reasons I returned. I miss the charming old fart. Thought I read somewhere here that he told someone a relative blocked his computer's access to SFN? |
