You can find conservatives saying things like, "Here's the proof: MSNBC's mail-room manager used to be the newspaper boy for the sister-in-law of the nephew of George Soros!" The most twisted six-degrees-of-separation deals are acceptable to them (and the left isn't much better when it comes to accusing groups of Koch-brother influence). |

| Yeah. I phrased that badly. You're right. But unlike Fox, the accusations don't stand up to closer scrutiny.
And I'm a bit tired of MSMBC being compared to Fox. Fox really is the propaganda arm of the Republican party. I didn't see anyone over at MSNBC trying to spin Obama's signing of the military authorization legislation. They were pretty upset about the provision that would allow the indefinit detention of American citizens without access to due process. They also often showed their disgust over Obama's many "compromises." If they were Fox, they would be in full spin mode every time something like that happened. I'm not saying they always get it right, but they are not puppets on a string with an order to support any and every piece of democratic legislation. They were not shy about voicing their disappointments over things like the affordable care act, for example. Pretty much their take on it is it's better than nothing, and are baffled that the right calls it socialist.
They are nothing like Fox, unless you count that they are liberal an Fox is conservative. |
Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
