It'll be no probelm. Actually short pastas are that much easier to stir, just give the pan a jiggle.

Alas! I've made my mark on the world. On the shoulders of giants of course. I got it from the Harold McGee's video, as chfcrsh justly gives credit to also.

I don't know if it was because of editing but the whole package of pasta and water went in at 2:10 and it was under 10:00 minutes long. That's 8 minutes!!! That big pot of water wouldn't have even started to boil in that time.

Now that's what I'm talking about!!!

I've done it twice now. Last night on a whim. I made some pasta and a quick white sauce. Yummy! And yes, the method works.
