Kurt Vonnegut.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Day-amn, that was fast! Correct, and congrats, Kil!

I nearly cried when I read that Vonnegut was dead in 2007. I knew I'd never be able to read another new novel quite like Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse-Five, or The Sirens of Titan ever again. What a brilliant, if cynical and depressive, fellow Kurt was!

Yeah. I have almost a whole shelf on by bookcase devoted to Vonnegut. His sly approach to social science fiction coupled with his rye wit and his ability to find the absurdity in the human condition and often cause us to laugh, even as we sighed because we knew he was right, was such a treat. My screen name is a shortened version of Kilgore Trout, his often used science fiction writer character who served as his alter ego.
