Absolutely correct, OFfC! Congratulations! Lord George Carey of Clifton is the recently retired Archbishop of Canterbury. In his former position, he was the highest-ranked cleric in the Church of England, subservient only to the Queen, and titular head of the world-wide Anglican Communion.
Carey was controversial as Archbishop, repeatedly opposing reforms that could have made the Anglican church less hostile to gays. After retiring, he's been, if anything, even more outspoken.
