Note: The original of the photo I got for the face above amazed me. The photographer used the exact pose and lighting of Da Vinci's "Mona Lisa" masterpiece painting, except the photo was a mirror image of the painting.

I'm certain this was intentional. I thought of Mona Lisa immediately when I saw the photograph. It turned out to be the easiest image that I ever had to paste into another.

I think the skilled photographer saw a resemblance to Mona Lisa in the person, and so set the shoot up that way.

My main work was in matching the face with the yellowish color that the painting had acquired over the centuries, and the fine texture of the paint's cracks. And those tasks were fun.

This person was one of your great suggestions, Kil. I swapped it with another and moved it up so I could post the face right away. I now have "faces" up to #80.

I'm not so sure it was on purpose. I suspect that we will find out.

Well, I'm betting that if it wasn't deliberate, it was an unconscious reflection of Mona Lisa.

I'll post the original "face" photo after someone gives me this person's name.

You are correct, Dr. Mabuse, this is indeed Kylie Sturgess! And thanks for the Wiki link.

Kylie is a teacher of Philosophy and Religious Education.

She also hosts Token Skeptic. And I think you're right, Mab, Kylie's small photo at Token Skeptic is a crop of the big one I used.

Per Wiki:
Kylie has lectured on teaching critical thinking, feminism, new media and anomalistic beliefs worldwide. She is a Member of the James Randi Educational Foundation (JREF) Education Advisory Panel and regularly writes editorial for numerous publications, and has spoken at The Amazing Meeting Las Vegas, Dragon*Con (US), QED Con (UK). She was a presenter and Master of Ceremonies for the 2010 Global Atheist Convention and returns to the role in 2012.[1]
And here's the photo that I promised, with the perfect (mirror-image) Mona Lisa pose (except the arrangement of Kylie's arms) and lighting:

I love it! "Mona Lisa Simpson" would be a great role-model for any distaff skeptic. Even for us guys. Lisa's been a secret hero of mine for decades.

Nice of Kylie to be a good sport about my hatchet job.

I recognized her instantly. How could I miss those eyes and that smile when I've had a secret crush on her since even before I met her at Dragon*Con 2009? I'm just sayin'...

She's a very energetic personality.

I've been known to have not-so-secret skeptic crushes (that's an oxymoron, I think), myself in the past.
