Ah, whew!
And Kil, you don't need to pay me the full half for the room. I'm happy to help you out.
| Oh wow! Cool Thor! Can you PM me with a number so I know where I stand? That will factor into how much more I need to come up with.
By the way... The reservation I placed on spec back in January was also in non-smoking. I figured it would increase my odds for getting a roommate.
Last year it was easy, because there were two conventions going on and the SP actually sold out. I don't know if you recall, but there was also a BMX convention going on at the same time. Also, I doubt that this years TAM will see the kind of numbers that last years TAM attracted. I think that's mostly because of the speaker list, which I'm not complaining about because it's par. And par is good at TAM. Last year was way above par and owing to that, a bigger draw. But that's good news and bad news. The good news is things like the reception might be more intimate, like earlier TAMs. Those were more fun. That's something I miss. The bad news is that the Jref isn't going to take in as much this year. But what the hey!
I'll also be happy if they have room to bring the tables back into the main hall. It was nice having a table to write on, and a place to put coffee and our folders and stuff. |

SS, thanks for the suggestion. I made sure that my room reservation was non-smoking and double-checked that it's "2 queens".
Kil, PM sent. |

Okay. I'm down to needing under 100 dollars to make it comfortable. Thanks for stepping up people and making TAM possible for me this year!!! It was such a longshot this time. Michelle says I always say that. But this time it really was. (Last year was too, but I had a sponsor who shall remain nameless because he requested that I not mention his name.) |

Yeah. I know. The times are very inconvenient. But I'll reserve a seat just the same.
By the way, I'm still short around $75.00 of my re-evaluated goal which is a couple hundred dollars less than I thought I would need. Not bad! |

Kil,
My ex's spousal support payments should terminate this next check (6/22) so I'll donate then. Have a good time at TAM and show the SFN banner proudly. |

| So you'll be on the 6:30 shuttle?
My flight arrives at 6:00. (Speaking of that, I got a very good fare on SWA but I lost out on getting to leave a couple of hours earlier by a few days.) That gives me a half hour to get across the airport, get my bag and get out to the 6:30 shuttle. Not sure I can do that. The next shuttle is at 8, which means sitting in the airport for a couple of hours. The other option is to split cab fare with someone coming in around the same time. That wouldn't cost much. About 14 dollars if the online calculator is correct. Actually, I think it's over estimating because it seems to me that I took a cab for $20.00 by myself with tip. But, I need to be very careful with money, so I might not arrive at the hotel until around 8:30. |

Ok made a donation.
Not as much as I expected, but the knuckle dragging neaderthals in payroll (apologies to neanderthals) did naughty things to doggies.
Sorry. |
