I'm at the FFRF annual convention in the Land of Port (Portland, Oregon). http://ffrf.org/outreach/convention

Richard Dawkins will receive the Emperor Has No Clothes Award tonight. Though I think that they got it backwards: the clothes have no emperor.

Cool!

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

Oh well.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Are you making a Rebecca Watson joke? She was at the World Atheist Convention, not an FFRF event.

Two high school students spoke of their ordeals with challenging majority Christians' violations of students' rights: Matthew "Max" Nielson and Jessica Ahlquist. Both were excellent speakers, and I their youth and enthusiasm is encouraging for our future.

I look forward to re-watching Richard Dawkins' talk about how religious arguments can overuse and abuse metaphors. Drunk on metaphors he called it. And Dawkins spoke of Romney's sincerity of Mormonism and how it's "barking mad" that he would be so gullible to fall for such a shyster as Joseph Smith.

FFRF attorney, Andrew Seidel, debunked the Christian Nation myth and also refuted the fallback argument of the USA being founded on Judeo-Christian values.
