Why are people more hysterical this election than the previous one?
| Fair enough I'll try again. It seems no matter what the reality is before any election it's always to close to call according to the "polls". Then comes election day and reality becomes evident for all to see, like it or not. Take last time (2008), McCain got 173 electoral votes with 59.9 million actual votes and Obama got 365 electoral votes with 69.9 million actual votes. Remember these results occurred when just 24 hours before the "polls" were nowhere near that offset. Republican "polls" had mcCain winning the day when the voting started. How could they have been so wrong? What it tells me is the Republicans were all hanging out in "Delusion Central" and that's not a small town in one state but across the US. Not surprising to me with how much Christianity plays such a prominent roll in that party and as you know I believe theist share their common beliefs delusion.
Besides having their reality bubble busted, I would guess what made them so hysterical this election cycle is the massive amount of money they spent to defeat Obama thanks to the Supreme Court's "Citizen's United" decision. I expect this is not all the money they spent but a large amount of money came from,,,
American Crossroads and its nonprofit arm, Crossroads GPS. Together, the two groups spent $180-million on ads to oust Mr. Obama. ------------ Karl Rove, also spent $76-million on ads to help Republicans running in competitive Senate seats, but the GOP lost five of seven of those races. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce spent $33-million on ads for losing Republican Senate candidates. ------------ Restore Our Future, a super PAC founded spent $91-million. ------------ Americans for Prosperity and American Future Fund spent about $66-million on presidential campaign ads. ------------ Republican Jewish Committee, the Ending Spending Action Fund, and Thomas Petterfy, spent $2.8-million on ads. ------------ Several other enormously wealthy donors also saw their investments in outside groups apparently go down the drain. Texas-based leveraged buyout specialist Harold Simmons and his wife, Annette, contributed $24-million; Texas builder Bob Perry gave $21-million, and TD Ameritrade founder Joe Ricketts gave nearly $13-million. ------------ (comment, All for the presidential election.)Link | Here's another spending link
I can't say all this was spent on just Obama's hopeful defeat but the money was pushing the Repud's agendas all around. All voters were aware of what was being spent by the Rep' supporters. With this much money it should be no surprise that they are so hysterical with their election results. In their wildest dreams they didn't see this coming. Especially how they all live by the premise that if you believe in something strong enough, put your fingers in your ears and sing "La La La" to drown out opposing views you can't make it reality. It works so well, as far as they can tell, with Religion why not with politics? It didn't work! That's why their so over the top this time. That's the biggest reason, the money and their batshit insane ability to believe in their delusions as reality while ignoring other evidence or lack there of, IMO. Other may disagree, I have no problem with that.
That is all I was trying to get across the first time without spelling in detail the money factor. |

It wasn't offensive, it was just bullshit. Glad you tried again. |

Larry Klayman:The bottom line is this: Americans of faith and those who believe in capitalism and hard work as the means to achieve, not “Atlas Shrugged”-portrayed government handouts, have now seen their country taken over largely by uneducated and lazy morons, goons and thugs who want to dismantle all our Founding Fathers conceived of and fought for. And, their hateful Marxist desire to destroy Western civilization is not limited to the “Great Satan,” the United States, but to its biblical Judeo-Christian roots, embodied in the nation of Israel. With no racial slur intended, but only to employ the same lingo used sarcastically by many of Obama’s supporters to describe their past plight, if we do nothing and simply look to future elections to restore the nation, we will soon become the “new niggers,” relegated to the back of the bus – as the bus speeds away to quickly fall over the fiscal, social and moral cliff. Can't do enough to properly react to that. |

| Jebus, he's got it all -- virulent privileged elitism, hatred for his neighbors, rejection of democracy, and loathsome racism (he even slyly slipped in "niggers," a word he has probably been muttering ever since Fox called Ohio for Obama). And as always, the phrase "With no racial slur intended" was a dead giveaway that racism was to follow.
I hate to go all Godwin on this guy, but give me a break! And this guy is a lawyer. |

From that piece:The husband told investigators that Solomon believed her family was going to face hardship if Obama were re-elected. And whaddaya know, she was right! Because Obama was re-elected, her husband was critically injured and she's up on charges. Them are some seriously family hardships, right there. |
