Here's one for Storm. It seems this statue moves by itself. I suppose she would say this is evidence, until it's explained. To bad there is a rational explanation for this, there always is.

| There is sort of an explanation. I mean it is telling that it only turns when people are milling around. But why does it turn right where it's standing, not moving in any direction other than the turn? Plus, it hasn't always behaved this way, even though it's been there for a while.

First off, I did not intend to put words into Storm's mouth in my OP.
I don't know what she might think about this. Yes, I hope this will be looked into very carefully. Obviously it's subtle vibrations but from what? I'm a bit reserved thinking it's the people. There is so much unknown at this time. People usually don't go jugging by displays in museums. Their movements are typically more sedate. It sure is possible. I would be looking more into other causes of the vibrations and factors that aid it's transmission through structures. Like the building structure and materials in it. I have noticed tremors in the floors in concrete buildings on more than one occasion. By just standing in one spot I could feel the floor shaking not unlike a little earth quake. I've felt floor vibrations from very heavy trucks driving by though I don'y suspect that here. Even structural vibrations coming from a buildings air conditioning air handlers with an out of balanced squirrel cage blower. It's very possible that the A/C system is not running or not running like it does during the days time when it's more in demand. I hope to hear they get to the bottom of this straight away. Seems to me an easy job based on the fact that it's repeatable. But in recent weeks, curators have been left scratching their heads after they kept finding it facing the wrong way. |
And this occurred before they set up the camera and after. This puzzle seems like a no-brainer once it's looked into. |

Silly, put it on a rubber pad, it wont move. Could be it has a pointed base with low friction or that that spot on that shelf is not level. |

Thats exactly what I said it was, uneven base+unlevel surface. Happens to my wall of shelves which hold all the Emmy awards for my tenant.
Edit P.S.: Michigan broadcasting Emmys, it's no one interesting. |
