Here's a run down of some recent pieces of nonsense making the rounds in the world of ufology.

From no less an authority than cropcircleanswers.com, we learn that "prohpetic" ufo signtihgs preceeded Hurriance Katrina.

http://www.cropcircleanswers.com/Prophetic_Signs.htm

Including this gem.

This is, supposedly, UFO's flying in the shape of a cross. Lets leave aside the groundbreaking theological implications, and examine the picture itself. As arrogant as it may sound, this is even less realistic than my own fake UFO images. No only is it blurry, and the "UFO's" seemingly resemble a simple airbursh in photoshop, but there are no clouds, buildings, no treeline, nothing to suggest this is the sky. It looks like nothing more than a blue background with some slight color variation. To say this kind of image would be easy to reproduce is like saying air is abundant.

For the record, this was sighted in MExico, apparently.

Another "cross" was supposedly seen in St. Pete Florida, right across the bay from Tampa, where I reside. Well, if it WAS seen, it didn't make any waves in the local press.

The article tries to tie all this to biblical prophecy. There is no photo of the St. Pete sighting, conveiniently

Another amusing report, from 1991, of a "flying humanoid".

http://www.cropcircleanswers.com/FlyingHumanoid.htm

The article also has these gems.

That black speck is a UFO.

HEre are some yellow specks.

My fake ufo photos look even better now if THIS is what passes for evidence.

Thanks, Jason, for the update on the pathetic state of the opposition.

The one where you explain, "That black speck is a UFO" is so obviously faked. The palm trees in the middle distance should be sharper in the photo than the tiny distant "UFO." Instead, the UFO is very sharply defined. This one's not an error or delusion, simply some lying moron's attempt to fool people.

The photo purporting to be a "flying humanoid" is clearly actually a Yeti, shot from a great distance with a telephoto lens, making snow angels on a mountainside. Or an unfocused photo of a leaf in the sand.

Yes, your honest fakes are better than this crap!

BTW, I just made a modestly spectacular "UFO" photo of my own, starting from one of yours, adding a 3D object made in Rhino, rendering in Poser 6, and processing in Photoshop 7 with an Eyecandy 4000 filter. I have no way to post it. Could you help if I emailed it to you?

(You know, of course, that the UFOlogists will steal all these and post them as "evidence," right?)

Half, go to www.photobucket.com. You can get a free account to upload your amazing evidence too. Thats what I use for mine. ^^

Flying humanoids, thats REALLY getting out there.

I'd like to see your faked photo.

I'd like to make a webpage with a lot of faked photos, mixed in with real ones, and see if people can tell which are fakes and which are "real".

If you save the photo as a jpeg, there are several sites on the net that will host an image for free. I use Image Shack because they don't require you to create an account, but there are others out there as well. They will give you a url address that you can post here to link to your image. I've done it on occasion and it was really easy.

Sorry, I got signed up there, and now can log in, but I get an error message on the first page after login, and then I cannot find any way to upload.

Glad you got it to work. Hey, that's pretty good! Motion blur and everything. Nice.

Of course, not nearly small and blurry enough to be mistaken for a "real" UFO.

A little off topic but in the same vein:

I 'romped' with 6ft alien

By LOUISE COMPTON
Sun Online

FEW people can claim to have experienced ‘out of this world' sex - but Pamela Stonebrooke is a woman who can.
The 52-year-old jazz singer says she enjoyed mind-blowing alien romps with a six-foot reptilian for three years.

Her story is among a number featured in World's Strangest UFO Stories which premieres this Sunday on the Discovery Channel.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Pamela revealed: “My first sexual encounter with an alien was unlike any love-making I've experienced before.

“It was so intense and enjoyable and, without wanting to get too graphic, he was so much larger than most men.

“I remember exactly how I felt when I saw him for the first time. I awoke from my sleep to find myself making love to what appeared to be a Greek god.

“At first I assumed it was an exceptionally lucid dream. But the sex was very intense and as I closed my eyes I was overwhelmed by how comfortable I felt with this unknown being.

“The next time I opened my eyes he had transformed into a reptilian entity with scaley, snake-like skin. It was then I realised I was making love to a shape-shifting alien.

Apparently this twit fails to realize that male reptiles have hemepenes, which are softly barbed in such a way that, once implanted, don't come out until copulation is complete. It can also be thought of as a sort of double penis (only one fork is used at a time).

The folk from the fantasy fringe seldom fail to amaze me and almost never fail to amuse me.

LOL! Great. Actually, if you reduced that enough, people would enlarge it and see a more saucer like shape than in the original, and see it as even MORE proof.

I forgot where I found that, but it is indeed the esteemed Mr. Moore following some creative, digital vivisection.

Ummm, yes..... Interesting, interesting..... Great illustration and one that rather opens up a whole, new field of inquiry, doesn't it?

If fact, one might hypothesise that Ms. Stonebrooke's ardent lover might have looked like this:
