OY: Early 20th century American Popular songwriter, Irving Berlin proves that he could foretell the future. It was in 1929 (what a year that was) when Mr. Berlin wrote a song that forecast an event soon to occur right here in the United States of America.

The leader of Russia will be the guest of a sitting president and of a former one at Kennebunkport, ME during the coming holiday.

We all remember and are now awed by the prophetic perspicacity of Mr. Berlin's song, "Putin on the Ritz."

I love puns! Thanks for that!

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell

What is your interpretation of this report?

YO:

First let me say, Jerry: one could only expect such a question with that marvelous Russell quote at the base of your posts. It is a leading interrogative that might be constructed to withdraw some hidden implication about safety and such. Nothing is so intended in this effort to wring yet more out of a tired but fun pun.

I guess Putin's risk might be that he has putin himself in such a political state merely by briefly vacationing with Shrub and the father NOT talked to.

It's good to be back among the Skeptics. Without us, the shit would even be deeper.

Orwellingly Yurz.

I have not a clue as to how to respond. I am laughing as I write this!

This is the most fun topic thus far!
