... and He tells me I am the Emperor."
I get very nervous when people hear imaginary voices, including God's. Especially God's.
Aaron Snyder, 32, the poor deluded man who was shot dead in the Colorado state Capitol after declaring that he was the "Emperor," and flashing a gun, was convinced that God spoke to him personally.
In an email to a coworker, Snyder wrote:"Thank you very much for hiring me. I have not properly introduced myself. I am the emperor, the sovereign ruler of this nation. God has be-stowed this honor on me. Today is the appointed day in which God has chosen for me to begin my reign. I have decided to favor Advanced Energy as a company. Please keep the emperor's desk free for my use in R&D purposes when I have spare time. I take engineering very seriously."
The e-mail was signed Aaron Aurelius Ricardus Constantinus. |

That email would be funny (hilarious even) if the guy hadn't gone and gotten himself killed.

It is said that when you talk to God, you are devout and pious; but when God talks to you, you are insane.
I've never seen a reason not to agree with that. Hearing disembodied voices is never a good sign in anyone.

But then, I'm one of those "soccer hooligan" type atheists, like that drunken madman, Dawkins.
