Looks like a pretty good read on why "Evolution is just a theory" is an invalid argument.

Sorry, its possible that someone in the universe could profit from evolution, therefor it is invalidated.

I guess you meant to say you believe in the conjecture of creation.

Whatever the scientists say, they can't be wrong. Just get a consensus and mix it in with a theory and *poof* you've now got empirical. Love how that science works.

There is no theory of creation. There are only multiple stories of creation from a variety of cultures and times. Stories which lack all of the things required to become a theory.

But that isn't how science works, bill. That's just how you pretend it works so you can justify your ignorance to yourself.

I also love how science works. Your first 2 sentences have nothing to do with how science works though.

Scientists get it wrong all the time. Indeed, many if not most experiments are failures and many observations produce incorrect conclusions. The beauty of this is that scientists correct themselves, or are corrected by other scientists.

And that is the how and why of science's success.

The honesty is refreshing. “Scientist” do not have a strangle hold on truth. Many times they are wrong, and those defending their science are, therefore, defending that which is not true.

100% of the time? Say no. Therefore that which is not true is passed along as truth, under the banner of “science.”

Thank you, pleco! A fine, concise explanation of one of the most critical, and often deliberately misunderstood, terms of science.
