The one and only (I hope). You don't know the half of it until you have conversed with this strange man. He has made a career and a small fortune out of debunking debunkers. And, as you must know if you know of him, Dawkins and other luminaries have spent quite a bit of their admittedly precious time in debunking this debunkers debunker. As Marfnox would say, weird. |

I don't think skepticism requires much specialized knowledge. It is a fairly basic method for judging the validity of claims about reality. Not all skeptics come to the same conclusions about any issue, and not all skeptics know the formal names for various logical fallacies. Many people are natural skeptics, logically questioning things from early childhood. I don't think professional is an adequate adjective for the skeptics here. I'd say Michael Shermer is a professional skeptic since his career is spent promoting skepticism. But most skeptics don't practice or promote skepticism for a living, nor do we receive any special education or training. We simply value and have a knack for critical thinking. |

I agree. I need an adequate adjective for the skeptics here (for the context in which I used professional). Have any suggestions? |

Begone troll!
Seriously, you are never going to respond to the request for reference to the alledged incidents that you were "only" referring to in your op, are you?
