YO: The link.... http://onthesanepage.blog.com (Tehran, Iran)---Mahmoud Amadinejad said today he was "non plussed" why his request to lay a wreath at Ground Zero in New York City has been rejected. The Iranian president will speak Tuesday at the United Nations and at Columbia University tomorrow.
The hard line leader indicated that Iran had nothing to do with the September 11th World Trade Center attacks, and can't understand why New York state authorities would deny his visit to the spot where the tragic event occured.
Mr. Amadinejah was also heard to remark departing Tehran airport for New York today that it would be propitious for him to be seen by millions of people at Ground Zero as it was at the time for New York Mayor, Rudi Guiliani, who gave the press many photo opportunites just after the 2001 terrorist attacks, according to Fox News Channel.
Mr. Guiliani (R-NY) is a presidential candidate.
Political observers in Washington are saying in advance of Mr. Ahmadinejad's scheduled appearance this evening on CBS' 60 Minutes that the hackles of the hard line Bush White House will be raised.

Did not Barbara Walters interview the Shaw on 60 minutes just before he was disposed?

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |

Both sides are being silly here. Amadinejad has to realize that his presence at Ground Zero would be incendiary, and he should just leave well enough alone. But those who are saying that he shouldn't be allowed in the country are also dead wrong. The United Nations is in New York, and any leader or official representative of a U.N. member state must be allowed to attend meetings there whenever they wish. |

YO, Gnome. What does this question mean?
"Did not Barbara Walters interview the Shaw on 60 minutes just before he was disposed?"
Iran's Shah, as it's spelled, was OUR boy; the religious zealots ousted him. I'm A Dinner Jacket, or I guess, Ahmadinejad (however you pronounce it), is NOT one of our boys; he's a radical, religious right wing zealot who was put into office primarily by the rural population of Iran and theocrats. Do you see any similiarities between him and another world 'leader?' I can.
Besides, Bah-bah Wah-wah has never worked for CBS; just ABC and NBC.
And to Mr. Rat who followed Gnome saying "both side are wrong": What Gnome asks doesn't put him and me on different sides. His query doesn't follow anything that's pertinent to what I established in this thread designed only to be a minor and humble attempt at humor on considering the absurd circumstances we find ourselves today. Thanks go to the Bush neocons for that, of course.
And, I thought being 'silly' was something akin to humor. Maybe I'm wrong.
Furthermore, I sometimes think Gnome is baiting us with his errors and illogical discourse.
I pray thee...doeth give me a fucking break, sirs.
