It might not be all that ridiculous, actually. Dr. Seuss (Theodore Geisel) did a lot of work purely for the money. He ranged from racist wartime propaganda to the clever kid's books that made him famous. On request of the Federal government, he drew anti-racist cartoons to promote peace among defense workers during the war years, yet drew other cartoons for corporate ads which portrayed black Americans in an abominably stereotypical way, including his use of the "N" word.

With such a varied output, it's not inconceivable that Seuss might have hired on as one of Jack Chick's "good artists."

Usually, when doing a Chick Tract parody, I will retain the art, and change the text. That formula's reversed this time. Here, adapted by using the words from Chick's "Creator or Liar?" along with Seuss cartoons, is what I imagine such a Dr. Seuss Chick tract might look like:

"Adults are just obsolete children and the hell with them."

Good stuff Half. But are you saying that NBC is the mouthpiece of God?

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.

Thank you. All, or almost all, of the material I used comes from old ads Geisel had done. I don't know if NBC still is the preferred voice of prophets. Perhaps that has now devolved upon Fox and CNN.

Some of the worst things Seuss drew make me mad as Hell, but I did not draw upon his worst. He did a lot of ads for Flit bug spray, and I did use stuff from that campaign, often with bugs erased. I also uded a couple of images from his Stromberg-Carlson radio set ads, and others from various other campaigns.

That's really cool. I didn't notice it before, but it's clever.

I have three sets of Jesus smilies, each with a full range of emotions.

And I also have a set of Mohammad smilies, too.
