Yeah, but it's never explained why there are other verses in the NT that support slavery...unless the NT was made up by many different writers with different viewpoints...

I think it would be difficult to find very many statements in the Bible that were not contradicted elsewhere in its pages. That anyone can claim to build coherent religions, history, or morality upon this mass of conflicting prose amazes me.
