I sometimes get interesting leads from Religion News Blog. They often bore new cloacas into Scientology, Mormonism, radical Islam, and various nutty cults. They expose the cheats, the liars, the dangerous and abusive screwballs. On these, they are often on the mark, and with a great deal of detail. But it's all from the viewpoint of mainline Christianity, including fundamentalism.
But the subject of the huge ORU scandal, RNB is almost totally silent.
They did have a short, sympathetic article telling how the Robertses are relying upon prayer to get them though. You'd barely know what the charges were, going by Religion News Blog. Here's the very people who probably know a whole lot about what's been going on at ORU, and they are keeping it in the family. I suppose that in a case when the cheats, the liars, the dangerous and abusive screwballs are Christian cheats, liars, dangerous and abusive screwballs, it's a different matter.
I find this deeply hypocritical and cynical.
