Those familiar with The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy will know the character of Zaphod Beeblebrox. He was a drunk, a carouser, a party animal, thief, swindler, con-man, and lecher. He was also Galactic President. Is there a parallel with George W. Bush? Let's read one of the passages from the book which explains why Zaphod is the perfect choice for the job:
Only six people in the Galaxy knew that the job of the Galactic President was not to wield power but to attract attention away from it. (emphasis added) |

Zaphod is way more cool and hip than W. He's so hip he has trouble seeing over his pelvis. He's so cool you could keep a side of meat in him for a month. |

That's as good a "theory" as any I've heard or made up, and funnier, too.

Nah. Zaphod had a little class and his second, thinking head wasn't in his underwear. Except after two Pan-Galatic Gargle-Blasters, but in that situation, thinking heads are pretty much superfluous.
Which might explain a lot.........

I've often wondered whether George Bush ever had a thought that wasn't provided by Cheney, Rove, Runsfeld, etc. |

| He might have purloined a few from Roderic Borja and Dan Quayle, but other than that, I can't think of any.
