I'm in the process of dealing with Borne on the Uncommon Descent blog. For the hell of it I clinked on his name to go to his site.
Holy effing shit. That's all I can say. This is the first blog entry I've read. The most bigoted, logically hypocritical piece of crap I've ever seen.
Dammit, I do NOT have time to try to deal with all this.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

| Heh, I wonder what that batch of Kool-Aid tasted like! Probably pretty foul, but when sweetened with lysergic acid diethylamide, nobody much cares. This'un must have gone back for thirds.
And now, all might understand why I no longer bother with forums such as Uncommon (very) Decent & TWeb & Rapture Ready & the like beyond reading them occasionally for amusement on a slow day. Sooner or later, I end up banned for little more -- well, ok, maybe a little more -- than what they hand to me.
What it is, I think, is that they have nothing so they must argue from nothing and that can only be done argumentum ad hominem when argumentum ad ignorantiam fails.
Kick back and enjoy the show, ig. These goobers are more fun than a barrel of rabid chimpanzees.

That was good for a laugh!
Notice that he doesn't allow comments.
He knows he can't defend that .

| In the blog entry I wonder about this quote, that he used in closing, by Michel de Montaigne:
I prefer the company of peasants because they have not been educated sufficiently to reason incorrectly.
| Whether it actually summarizes his argument in the way intended or whether in Montaigne's day it was a bit of a slam against those who were typically educated, church leadership. Both Protestant and Chatholic.
Wouldn't be the first time that the original intent of a quote was lost on the user of the quote.
