I'm thrilled you are leaving the country. However, I do think you should warn the next country you are moving to.

Yeah, it's the wrong word. I was just thinking about how far right Obama is from where some of us thought he'd be. The Republicans have gone far to the right since Reagan's day, and the Democrats seem to have been happily following them. Obama managed to get the 1993 Republican corporatist health-care plan passed, and he's been busy defending Bush's grabs of executive power and his civil-rights violating policies. Last I heard, his position on gay marriage was still [spit] "evolving," and he didn't think the courts should deem "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" unconstitutional even if it is. WTF?
In hindsight, I wouldn't have voted for him. |
