Skepticism isn't a "bias," it's a method for avoiding bias. You don't sound very informed, I must say.

Do you have something that you would like to discuss. Any aspect of why you believe, pick something. Or are you far too dependent on your faith to risk an honest debate of its merits.

edited to add: Of course I am assuming that you are religious.

This guy looks like a hit&run. Three topics/claims so far and not sticking around to defend or even discuss any of them.

Ok, got him.
Name: Kyle

See my myspace profile below.

Country: United States

Occupation: Counseling the suicidal and depressed, explaining verses, defending the Bible

Interests and Hobbies: Seeing the gospel translated into all living languages. Seeing ReactOS overtake Windows.

Music: Trance, chillout, celtic, ambient, new age, classical, electronica, japanese drums, some pop rock. Note that just because I like those styles of tunes does not mean I approve of all the lyrics that go with them or the behavior of those that sing them as many evil and even righteous people wrongly conclude. Tunes are not evil in and of themselves. What is evil, is to disobey God. If rock is evil, then so are all other styles since mostly evil people play them and do evil. That same logic applies to food and anything else. It's a heretical teaching to teach guilt by association.
Books: 1. The Bible (LTV Version) 2. Strong's concordance (or any good concordance) 3. Smith's Bible dictionary
That is the UTube profile for Kyle Raine. Interesting guy. Hope he sticks around a while.

Wow, ReactOS and defending the Bible. This guy is a glutton for punishment, and that is a sin.

Errrm... All of our forums are skeptic forums. This is a skeptics site. Did you not notice the name of this site? We also have a "Skeptic Forum" called "Health." Do you also assume we are anti health? Are you opposed to questioning assumptions?

Hi Kyle.....

Great name. I once knew a guy named Kyle. You ought to get together, I think you'd like one another.

Kyle, I have a great idea for you. Why don't you state clearly just what it is about the conflation of the words "skepticality" and "religion" and "bias" that is amusing or irritating to you?

Your sarcasm is noted, and sarcasm usually indicates an adversarial attitude to whatever it is directed toward, so let's hear it, and I guarantee you'll get plenty to think and talk about.

rain the one-liner doesn't appear interested in actually arguing any of his "points".

Oh well.

Yeah, just trying to get some carefully selected quotes to post on his blog or a fundie site, something to make us look foolish.

Okay rain, quote THIS! (grabs crotch, thrusts menacingly, and grunts)

Bailey's second law; There is no relationship between the three virtues of intelligence, education, and wisdom.
