It seems that pastor John Hagee's group, Christians United for Isreal want the american gov't to go after Iran next. I know I've posted this elsewhere, at least I think I have, but I'm too lazy to search for it. Besides, there's enough new material here to justify a new thread.
That's my excuse anyway. The Rational Responders people have a link to a YouTube video that shows it.
There's more information on Hagee's group here.

Hagee: Another off-the-deep-end woo-woo with a following. But never let it be said that he can't turn a phrase.
"Anyone who makes the life of Jewish people difficult or grievous, as did the Pharaoh, as did Hitler, will be cursed by God." - keynote address to AIPAC, (March 12, 2007) "You will either offend the world and please God, or please the world and offend God." -Faith under Fire broadcast, (September 12, 2005)
"What is the point of having free speech if you have nothing to say?" - "How Free Is Freedom?" (July 2, 2006) [3]
"Jesus did not come to the Earth to start 285 squabbling denominations fighting over the Bible. How like the devil to divide Christians over the Bible." - "How Free Is Freedom?" (July 2, 2006) [4]
"If you live your life and don't confess your sins to God Almighty through the authority of Christ and His blood, I'm going to say this very plainly, you're going straight to hell with a nonstop ticket." October, 2006[5]
"All hurricanes are acts of God because God controls the heavens. I believe that New Orleans had a level of sin that was offensive to God and they were recipients of the judgment of God for that." [16]. "Why would you want to be politically correct when you can be right?" -The Revelation Church broadcast, (February 2007) "The most important thing to the Christian community is not the environment but evangelism." "The Fish Gate" 9/2/07
"Christians don't steal or lie, they don't get divorced or have abortions. If the Ten Commandments were followed by everyone we would be able to fire half the police force and in six months the prisons would be all half empty." "The Fish Gate" 9/2/07
|
"What luck for rulers that men do not think." -- Adolf Hitler (1889 - 1945)
"If only we could impeach on the basis of criminal stupidity, 90% of the Rethuglicans and half of the Democrats would be thrown out of office." ~~ P.Z. Myres
"The default position of human nature is to punch the other guy in the face and take his stuff." ~~ Dude

"The Fish Gate" 9/2/07 [/i] | I like this quote. But I have a better one: if the secular local, state, and federal laws were followed by everyone we would be able to fire virtually all the police force and in six months the prisons would be all but empty. |

If that's the case then, according to Hagee, there would have to be damn few christians! |

Hmm, I don't remember the Bible saying, thou shall not conspire to distribute drugs. Half empty my ass. |
"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History
"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini |

| That is because of an abundance of hashist and opium in the region.
But then, I don't recall it mentioning the distilling of moonshine, either.
Hey, if those end-time idiots want to attack Iran, let them do it, not what's left of our military. We can hold their coats for them.

Yeah. If Hagee and his cohorts want war with Iran, than he can have his son sign up for it. Hell, if they go to war with Iran, they'd likely be needing a draft anyway. |
