There is a site that allows anyone, even without any art skills or a paint program, to create a spoof version of the cover of a "For Dummies" book.

I'll kick this off with my own first attempt. I hope other will post further, and better, "for Dummies" covers.

Risendemonx.....

Good work, Risen! Great idiotic examples of idiocy for idiots! Great image manipulation! Great pick-up on the topic! Great correction of spelling (you might want to change the LC "i" to a cap).

Fifteen, and almost out of college already, eh! I've been there, done that, when I was a kid (I'm 79 now). Go for that doctorate, even if you never use it, you'll be amazed at the doors it opens in life!

You've got a great head of steam going, young man, and I really like what I've seen of your thinking and writing so far.

Congratulations, and I hope none of my bawdy Humor has corrupted you into a life of debauchery as some of the stiffer backs here have feared. On second thought, you could do worse than a life of debauchery! Ask Filthy! Anyway, welcome to this Asylum for Anticonformists and you're going to do well!

Gunnison on to Montrose then into the San Juans's, Telluride, Ouray, Silverton, Durango! My favorite trip in the Rockies! You live in an awesome area! I was born in Denver, and I know every square inch of beautiful, Colorful Colorado. Just the word "Gunnison", kind of makes me homesick for my native state! The Idaho Panhandle is also awesome, though!

wow, 15 you say? It's been a long time since I made this account!
I made it awhile ago, and I ended up just dropping by and lurking for years- I had no idea that it was that long ago! Right now, i'm 24, and I just graduated college last may! Perhaps I should update that thing!

I love where I used to live. However, after graduating, I had to get a real job, and that involved moving to Houston, Tx for awhile. I plan to move back to the Denver area soon though. I miss the mountains...

As for corrupting me? I'd have to say I've been corrupted a bit! When I was 15, I was a christian. Not only that, but I was mormon. I lurked here for awhile, and this site amongst others helped me eventually throw off those old robes (read, underwear). Now I just graduated as a geology major, and I'm getting ready to persue a masters in geophysics! (Otherwise, I don't know where I would have ended up!)

edited to add:[/b]whoops, actually I just goofed and clicked the wrong year when I made this profile- it was about 3 or 4 years ago when I made it.

As much as I would like to take credit for manipulating the photos, they aren't manipulated. These are real "idiot's guide" and "for dummies" books, with real ISBNs:

Rise.....

OK, I was beginning to see you as some kind of child savant. I did go to college before 17, but a college Senior at 15 was impressing the hell out of me! I was a little concerned about your mid-teen engagement, also! Usually those real early springtime liasons don't work out too well! If you made the profile 4 years ago, you would have been 20, not 15, though. Probably meant 19 rather than 15!

Anyway, at 15, 20, or 24 you sound like a promising young man in the middle of all these stodgy 30 and 40 year olds on SFN! Stay away from these old folks - they'll bore you to tears!

The best to you!

For some reason, the default age on profiles is 12 years old. Default + 3 years = 15 years old. So you probably didn't so much click a wrong year as simply not pick anything.

Well, imageshack crapped out on me; I can't even see my picture when I log in to my account. It just sits there and waits and waits to completely load up.

**** that, I'm using photobucket instead.

I'm sure there's some irony here about me posting about how "idiots" can publish, yet I can't seem to publish my own image!

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Although I don't know how the would like the mormon thing. You know, since according to most Christians... Mormons worship Satan.
