I honestly didn't think this would see the light of day, and it may not still... but the fact the organizers have carried it this far is promising.

This should be interesting. I half expect only the Democrats to accept. But the dynamics are complex, so I can't be sure.

McCain, in the GOP lead already and eying November, probably can't gain anything by attending. I also can't see much reason for Huckabee to attend -- unless he feels such a strong need to show off his anti-science agenda to his batshit fundy supporters that he's willing to be laughed at by about 2/3 of the audience.
