I orignally found this on the FSTDT site. They pretty much take apart Bill's arguments in the comments section.
Darwin knows that one has a rough time commenting on Bill's own site...

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.
Another example of this guy's lunacy here. |

Indeed, you have to hand it to the Dutch. When it comes to people-centered morality, rational politics, and sheer sanity, they have to be a world leader. Holland is already famous – or infamous – for its legal euthanasia, same-sex marriage, red-light districts, marijuana cafes, and so on. |

There you have it folks. Human passion can run amok, but canines must be restricted. | That's right, restrict the actions of consenting adults, but let dogs run rabid. That's freedom! Now am I missing something here? Or am I just a bit slow on the uptake? | Yes and yes. Animal passions must be curtailed, but humans, engaging in animal passions, can run wild. | Oh yes, clearly it is the humans who should be on leashes and in cages. |

Dorothy Sayers once warned, “In the world it is called Tolerance, but in HELL it is called Despair… the sin that believes in nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, enjoys nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing, and remains alive because there is nothing for which it will die.” | So tolerance for certain things is equal to tolerance of everything. That's logical. Just ignore the rule about dogs being on leashes.
Or as GK Chesterton remarked, “Tolerance is the virtue of the man without convictions.” | Does someone who has intolerance for intolerance have convictions?
