The FL legislature passed a bill protecting teachers that advance alternatives to the theory of evolution today (influenced by the Discovery Institute and Expelled). I'm lobbying to protect those who advance alternatives to heliocentrism too. Join me and get more info at http://www.teachthecontroversy.com/fl2008.html

We're lobbying Representative Hays and the other members of the education committee that voted for this while leaving out protections for those who present alternatives theories to heliocentrism with a letter writing campaign. Their names and addresses are below or you can e-mail them at <first name>.<last name>@myfloridahouse.gov ; for example:

Go for it, David! Geocentrism is a once powerful theory that has been supressed for too long! And welcome to SFN!

Good for you, davidannis! And welcome to Skeptic Friends Network!

Anyone willing to take a day off to simply watch the sun moving across the sky will know that the earth does not move. (As a bonus, such a person may afterward qualify for many state benefits for being blind.) Also, geocentricism is every bit as scripturally-founded as the goddidit Creationism that Florida legislators, in their wisdom, are seeking to protect.
