Here'a a little gem I found from apologist Ray Comfort's site http://www.raycomfort.com

quote:
Suicide tract

This (five-fold) tract is very sobering, and it contains nearly 500 pictures of people who have taken their own lives. (#295)

Now THAT'S a good "coffee-table" book, eh? See

Hah! And you all thought JTC was blunt!

By the way, he has a section on the supposed "accuracy" of the bible when it comes to science at http://www.raycomfort.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=lwpstore&Product_Code=122&Category_Code=Books
where he show examples of where the bible beat science to discoveries. Anyone know of any place where I can check these claims in more detail, and where I can find out examples of where the bible is wrong? (or should I just do a search on http://www.infidels.org?)

There is an article right here on this site that 'shows' that the bible supports a flat earth and geocentrism. I got no idea how he came to the conclusion about the earth 'hanging on nothing' not being known before 1650.

The non cosmological examples he gives are just things he interprets into those passages.

I could do the same thing and take any odd bit of ancient mythology and interpret descriptions of modern scientific discoveries into it. Just imagine the kind of scientific relavations you could find in for example old norse mythology, if you already know what to look for that is.

I've never heard of him before.

Checking out his site, it looks to me like he's running a department store more than a ministry. Every word he says seems to be for sale. Even Hovind isn't quite that grasping (giving the benefit of some small doubts, here).

Perhaps I should invite him to be a guest pastor at my ministry. My flock too often blows their collective roll on booze prior to services and the plate can be a little lean, and the service rowdy. He might be just what we need to boost the COTDC exchequer (the services are fine just the way they are). Hmmm.

May the Sublime Peace of the Dessicated Cockroach be upon you and may you never default on your Bar Tab.

Speaking about "Scientific Facts" in the bible, there are some sites out there that dispute that.

Check out: http://www.bibleandscience.com/biblebiology.htm

http://www.bibleandscience.com/biblescience.htm

There are a LOT of articles here, some even talk about Hovind, Ham, and others. Have a look at the links.

Check out the article: Bible and Science http://www.bibleandscience.com/bibleandscience.htm
