Exhibiting its usual, rigorous application of logic the Catholic church has attributed a miracle to the long dead Mother Teresa.

http://www.cnn.com/2002/WORLD/europe/10/01/pope.teresa/index.html

quote:
After consulting with doctors, the Vatican panel found there was no "scientific explanation" for the woman's recovery, making it a miracle, the agency said.

Neglecting the obvious lack of reason in this statement, the cult of Teresa is what is really driving this, and the Catholic church is milking it for all it's worth.

"Men are so simple and so much inclined to obey immediate needs that a
deceiver will never lack victims for his deceptions." - Niccolo Machiavelli

I agree 100% Physiofly. The way they are bending every rule they ever made concerning saints in general really should make every Christian wonder if the rules ever meant anything in the first place.

The miracle in question is pretty lame if you ask me. Talk about rubber stamping something!

With all the bad press recently, they need all the help they can get. This will get people minds off of the priests, I guess that's what they think. They, upsettingly, are probably right.
