Whenever I hear a group of people speak with one voice, I can't help but think that there are a lot of opinions not being heart.

I think that Slaters description of love is very good. I always thought of it as being blind, but now that i think about it 'mindless zombie' fits the bill even better.

I guess one can feel pride in the achievements of a group that one had no personal part in if one at least had a choice about joining that group. One can feel pride in the positive effects of policies and ideals one personally supports, but one should also feel the same amount of remorse if the ideals and policies one supported have negative effects.
