quote: ?
??? (Whatever.)
In Saudi Arabia, women are not permitted to drive or to do so many of the things women can do today in the USA. However, even in the USA, women were once chattels and only received the right to vote when the U.S. Constitutional Amendment XIX was ratified on August 18, 1920. Why it took so long, is beyond me. I was lucky to have been born after that XIX Amendment ratification.
I was also lucky to grow up in a family where women and men were equals. It was a great family, and my father was perfectly wonderful. I think that women who want to be treated like chattels should have that right, but it should not be an enforceable rule or law against all women.
