Legalize it!!!!
It causes less violence than alcohol, who can be bothered fighting man (and it made the Matrix sequel heaps better)
And by the way does absolute wonders for my wifes endometritis (?sp).
As with anything in moderation, it isn't that harmful. No different to a weekend drink with friends!!!! |
Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.

Bush does NOT represent this (USA) government, the people do. I never did understand what the president does and why people think he's so important. So on behalf of the people of this country, of which I am one and I make the laws, I authorize you to smoke and do any drug you want. Let them threaten all they want. They are only hurting themselves and 'cutting off their nose to spite their face'.

I really don't think that the average Canadian is dumb enough to try to smuggle illegal drugs into the U.S.
That's a good point. And just shows how the US wants to push it's weight around for no good reason. |

Keep in mind that the Liberals are only tabling the bill in the House of Commons, and it's not a decriminalization, but a lesser fine for those caught with less than 15 grams, and a more severe penalty for those charged with trafficking.
That being said, I don't believe there is much for the American government to fuss about, though I'm certain they'll find something. Remember how our government was chastized for allowing terrorists into our country and not having enough border security? Seems to me that it's the American government which controls access to the United States, not us. Oh well |

Posession of marijuana was a criminal offense, this went on your permanent record, with this new legislation it would not be a criminal offense but a civil offense instead. A fine is all you will get providing you had under 15 grams.
In a way it is kind of dumb, because if you aquired 15 grams, the person who sold it to you would obviously have more than that. I think eventually if this bill passes later on down the road you will see it legalized and most deffinately government controlled, they would love to have a piece of that action. Just one more thing the Federal government could collect tax from. |

Boy, you're not kidding! If people think petrol, smokes, and booze are highly taxed, they ain't seen nothing yet! You live in Ontario, what do you say about Eves opting for a later election? Personally, I plan to vote Liberal simply because I don't like what the conservatives have done to slaughter our public services. |

Ahhhhhhh yes next February will be a joyous month in Canada. Prime Minister Martin......it has a nice ring to it.
About the marijuana.......this will make a lot more running around for the kids selling drugs on the street. The runners wont want to have more than 15 grams on them at one time, in case they get pinched. They will constantly have to run home to get more all night long. At least the little bastards will get some exercise. |

Of course, the US government just isn't happy unless they've got their dirty little fingers in everybody's pies!
Why should marijuana have ever been illegal in the first place? It was all just a bunch of political bullsh*t! It started in Texas, when they were trying to come up with a way to get rid of the Mexicans without seeming to be racist; so, since at that time it was mainly the Mexicans who smoked pot, they decided that they would prohibit it, unless you had a tax stamp, of which they only produced a token few. And once on the slippery slope, things went downhill from there. |
