Where is the mistake?

Be c and d belonging to the group of the real numbers, being c and d different from 0. Let us suppose c = d, then:

c^2 = c*d
c^2 - d^2 = c*d - d^2
(c - d)*(c + d) = c*d - d^2
(c - d)*(c + d) = d*(c - d)
c + d = d

And how we supposed c = d, then:

d + d = d
2*d = d
2 = 1
My messages maybe are incomprehensible, because my knowledge regarding the English language is still precarious...

line 4 to line 5 divide by 0
