At last repote, every woman in the world had a pair, to a greater or lesser degree. Why is this one so horrible?
Why are they making a fucking federal case out of it? Does not the FCC have anything better to do?

On a more serious note, if there is one  , the whole thing was certainly staged, despite statements to the contrary by those concerned. After all, what women aside from strippers wear pasties under their clothing?

I was wondering; how much of a scandal this caused outside of the US? Here in Montreal (Quebec, Canada), it was pretty much a non-scandal. We saw ms. Jackson's breast several times, on most news shows, with no blur effects at all (I mean, it's just a breast right?).
It was apparently the same non-scandal in France, where I was barely able to find an article on the subject (I did find a few pics however). But then again, French people dont see sex (or nudity) as a horrible, mind-warping sin...
How about the rest of Europe? Or Asia or Africa.... I wonder how Al-Jazera (sp?) dealt with it?

I notice that it was O.K. to have a 1/2 time "Lingerie Bowl".
It's all over the papers over here.....we all think it's piss funny.

Well, now that I've seen it, I must say that I'm less than impressed. I know that stills taken from video aren't often as artful as the video itself (stills, for some reason, often seem to capture just the wrong moment), but the above does nothing for me at all. I feel like sending a letter to the FCC expressing my outrage that after everything I'd heard, I didn't even get a tingle from seeing The Boob.
Okay, I went and found video online. Still nothing. Maybe if she looked less like her brother...
By the way, earlier today CNN reported that Tivo reported that The Boob was the most freeze-framed and rewound piece of footage ever, since the technology to record what's being rewound and paused was put into place (whenever that was?). I suppose this makes Tivo the nation's leader in measuring prurient interest. |

| Let's face it folks. Kids see this stuff all the time. I'm in my mid 30's and I thought that I was unusual in having come across a stash of hardcore porn in elementary school. Turns out, I was the norm, not the exception (and my folks thought that they were sheltering me from all of the filth out there!) Let's be real. If it's kids we are worried about, hey, it's going to happen--they will see and hear about sexy stuff. It's more a matter of fostering a healthy attitude about it all. You are correct, Mr. Spock.
I've read that now Janet has been banned wrom the Grammys (people seem to care about Grammys and Oscars, and such -- dunno why). Also, there's going to be a 5 minute delay on the show in case she's become an inspiration to other, evil booby-possers who might want to compete.
I think that the Europeans tend to have a much more mature attitude toward this sort of thing than ourselves.
