I second that... Everyone over here is baffeled about the aftermath of this. There have been some ridicule of the FCC- FOX- BCS- MTV- people (most upset about it) on Swedish radio talk shows.

And Austrlians as well.....it is always amusing when US rock'n'rollers get interviewed on the radio down here and find out they can say f*** arse or shit and no-one batters an eyelid.

America amuses me about this kinda stuff....you can watch Arnie blow the hell outta 100 people, but a breast.....

I rather think that banning Janet from the Grammy show was a mistake. Instead, they should give her top billing. Their audence of 14 year olds, nitwits, and otherwise up-tight people would have increased by an order of magnitude.

And now I, the Filthy Prognosticator, shall make a filthy prognostication: Janet's stage career is gonna take off like a big-assed bird due to an attentive and growing audience of 14 year-olds, nitwits, and other up-tight people.

Y'all Europeans and Ozzies don't know what you're gonna be missing, lucky fuckers. O' course, y'all Canuks are close enough that you can't get away, hehe.

Can I call it, or what?!!

The nitwits and otherwise up-tight have entered the building:

quote:
Carlin filed a proposed class action lawsuit in U.S. District Court Wednesday against Jackson, singer Justin Timberlake, broadcasters MTV and CBS and their parent company, Viacom.

Carlin alleges that she and others who watched the halftime show during Sunday's Super Bowl were injured by the performers' lewd actions when Timberlake ripped off part of Jackson's costume, exposing her breast.

Good to hear some concurrence, even if it doesn't necesarilly spark a heated debate. Yeah, I love you Aussies. Perfect blend of European smarts and big-frontier attitude. Just read Bill Bryson's tour of Australia. Makes me want to move there!

Well, back to the topic. I'm no psychologist, but I'm willing to wager that the latent Puratinism in our culture leads to many of its perversities. Hell, the Brits kicked out the Puritains hundreds of years ago, and have been having a hell of a time since then. We should do the F--- same, starting at the White House. We'd be a lot more relaxed. And maybe--just maybe--getting laid won't be just a past-time for the young and cute, lol!

Apparently NBC has pulled a section of this weeks episode of E.R. because it shows a womans breast,

quote:
NBC cut a scene from Thursday's "ER" that showed an elderly patient's breast, saying the current atmosphere made it too difficult for affiliates to air the segment.

Saw the ER episode. Not much different than you'd see in reality. I don't like these conservative swings every now and again.
