Robb, it's not the idea of prayer per se that infuriates me; it's the direction the thing is being sent. To me, it's the same as the soldiers being told to send a care package of candy, books and smokes to that poltroon in DC (or Camp David, or Crawford, or where ever the fuck he's goofing off at the moment). The soldiers need it and he doesn't deserve it.
I too, think that praying is a waste of time better spent otherwise, but if it makes someone feel better about his situation, that of dodging bits of metal at high velocity, then I'm all for it. And if it comforts the families of those who didn't make it, I'll even go through the motions with them.
